Die 122. Infanterie-Division war ein Großverband des Heeres der deutschen Wehrmacht im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Die Division wurde am 7. Oktober 1940 durch den Wehrkreis II (Stettin) als Division der 11. Aufstellungswelle auf dem Truppenübungsplatz Groß Born zu je einem Drittel aus Truppenteilen der 32., der 258. und den bespannten Teilen der 14. Infanterie-Division zusammengestellt, welche in eine Division (mot.) umgewandelt wurde. Die Division war im Krieg gegen die Sowjetunion im Baltikum, in der Kesselschlacht von Demjansk, bei Newel und vor Stalingrad eingesetzt. Die 122. Infanterie-Division war teil der 16. Armee und begann den Rußlandfeldzug am 22.6.1941 bei Gut Fichtenhöhe und ging nach der Kapitulation in Kurland in russische Gefangenschaft. Sie kapitulierte mit der Heeresgruppe Kurland am 8. Mai 1945.The 122nd Infantry Division was a major body of the army of the German Wehrmacht in World War II. The division was assembled on October 7, 1940 by the Wehrkreis II (Stettin) as a division of the 11th deployment wave on the training area Groß Born to one-third of troop units of the 32nd, the 258th and the covered parts of the 14th Infantry Division which was converted into a division (mot.). The division was used in the war against the Soviet Union in the Baltic States, in the boiler battle of Demyansk, at Newel and before Stalingrad. The 122nd Infantry Division was part of the 16th Army and began the Russian campaign on 22.6.1941 at Gut Fichtenhöhe and went after the surrender in Courland in Russian captivity. She surrendered with the army group Kurland on May 8, 1945.
